Imperial Guard

I've always had a soft spot for the Imperial Royal guards shown in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, even if they don't really do anything of note in the movies. And I've always wondered, if these are supposedly the best of the best what do they look like under their crimson robes and what would they wear when on combat assignments.

The answer is of course heavy combat armour covering the vitals while still giving them a great deal of mobility for both melee and ranged combat.

The shadow guards as depicted do lean in this direction but I felt their look wouldn't go neatly under the robes without their bulky legguards and shoulderpads poking out so I took it upon myself to try to merge that design with how they look in the movies.

The models do have a few kinks to work out, mostly around how the cloth folds are done which feels a bit unnatural at the moment.

There's also a skin for what the Imperial Senate guard could look like if switched from their republic era gear to something more Imperial.
